This Independence Day take time to reflect on the rare gift of liberty God has given us and give thanks to him for his goodness. And remember that, as Ronald Reagan said, "Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
Mission: Dignity Sunday for us here at FBC will be Sunday, July 25. Mission: Dignity is about helping provide retirement-aged Southern Baptist ministers, workers, and their widows with monthly grant assistance that allows them to pay for basic necessities like food, utilities, and medications. Most SBC pastors and workers serve in small ministries that often don't allow them to build much up for retirement. Mission: Dignity helps fill some of this gap for these servants of Christ. This effort receives no Cooperative Program funding, so please help as God leads you.
